Though devotees throng Khatu Dham daily, the following days have special significance :

Dwadishi ( 12th Day ) of the Shukla Paksha of the month of Phalgun . On this day Devotee take their children for Mundan ceremony. Also newly wed couples offer prayers for their Happy married life.

Celebrations start on Ekadashi (11th day). Devotees enjoy devotionals songs, dances, keep themselves immersed in the joy of lord Krishna and Shyam throughout the night, and finally offer prayers in the morning of Dwadishi.

Ekadashi (11th Day) of the Shukla Paksha of the month of Kartik.

On this day Shri Shyam's birthday is celebrated with great gusto and fervor at Khatu Dham.On the days of worship Aarti is done in Shyam Ji Temple, 5 times a day

"BOLO SHYAM PRABHU KI JAI"
"LELE KE SAWAR KI JAI"
"SHISH KE DANI KI JAI"

Shri Khatu Shyam Ji Ki Pooja / Kirtan Vidhi:

Every Dwadshi of Shukl Paksh of any month or whenever you want to do Baba Kirtan, after sweeping the floor and cleaning of utensils etc. Prepare Kheer (Rice) & Churma. When it is ready keep it at the place where you want to have Satsang or Kirtan.

At the same place put Shri Khatu Shyam Ji's Photo or Shri Krishna's Picture. Also keep Shri Ganesh Ji and Hanuman Ji's pictures.

In front of that lit cow dung upla without any smoke & keep on chanting "Om Shri Shyam Devai Namah." Also lit a pure ghee diya (Jyot). Prepare a thali by keeping Roli, Rice, and Agarbati etc.

During all this keep singing Bhajan of Shyam Baba & also read Shyam Chalisa.

In the end lit 5 Jyoti Diyas & do Shyamji / Hanuman Ji Arti. After offering of Prasad to Shri Khatu Shyam Ji distribute the Prasad among all the present shyam devotees & your neighbourhood.

Rules for Bhajan / Kirtan:
  1. During Kirtan keep yourself neat & clean.
  2. After offering Dhoop / Deep / Flowering sit in front of Shri Khatu Shyam Ji with other devotees.
  3. Do not talk during bhajan / kirtan.
  4. Do not smoke during satsang.
  5. Do not laugh if any of your shyam devotee is not singing properly rather encourage him.
  6. Due to some urgency if you have to go, please go away silently.
  7. Sit wherever you get place.
  8. During satsang avoid sleeping / going again and again is not desirable and it disturbs shyam devotees.

Winter:
1st October - 15th March :
Morning 5.30 a.m. to Afternoon 1.00 p.m.
Evening 5.00 p.m. to Night 9.00 p.m.

Summer: 1st April - 15th September
Morning 4.30 a.m. to Afternoon 12.30 p.m.
Evening 4.00 p.m. to Night 10.00 p.m.

Important: On every Shukla Paksh Ekadshi doors ofShri Shyam Prabhu Mandir remains open for 24 hrs.On Every Kartik Sudi Ekadshi, Shyamji birthday isbeing celebrated with great hustle & bustle.And from Phalgun Sudi Dashmi till end of festival doors of ShriKhatuShyamJi remains open all the time

Clothes for Shyam Baba

Baga : 9" Nefa 40" Length, 8 Mtr. Round (At the back open from top to bottom)
Dupatta : 44" wide 3 mtr. in length
Parda : 6 Kadi up in cloth, 2 mtr. in length
Fachit : 9 Mtr. cloth
Note : Total 23 Mtr. Cloth is required for full dress.
